The short version: WakeWave doesn't collect, store, or transmit any personal data. No accounts, no analytics, no ad tracking. Everything stays on your device.
Alarm settings — times, labels, repeat days, difficulty choices — stored locally using Apple's standard on-device storage. Never transmitted anywhere.
App preferences — default backup count, shake sensitivity, theme, and similar settings — same as above, local only.
Notifications — used to alert you at your scheduled alarm times. Required for the app's core function.
Motion & accelerometer — used to detect phone shaking for the Snooze feature. Motion data is read in real time to count shakes and is never stored or transmitted.
Camera — used only if you choose the "I Never Wake Up" difficulty level, to scan a QR code as part of that alarm's Stop challenge. Processed entirely on your device to check for a single fixed code; no image or video is stored, saved, or sent anywhere.
WakeWave does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and does not share data with any third party — because WakeWave does not collect data to share in the first place.
WakeWave does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, since it does not collect information from anyone at all.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new "Last updated" date.
