SUPPORT
You made it this far. Let's get the app sorted too.
My alarm didn't go off
Check three things: (1) Notifications are allowed for WakeWave in iOS Settings → Notifications → WakeWave. (2) Your phone wasn't in Silent Mode or a Focus/Do Not Disturb setting that blocks notification sounds — WakeWave uses standard notifications, so it follows those system settings. (3) The alarm was actually saved and toggled on in the Home tab.
Shaking my phone doesn't snooze the alarm
Make sure you're shaking with real motion, not just tapping the phone on a surface — the required shake count is adjustable in Settings if it feels off. If you're testing in Xcode Simulator rather than a real device, shake detection won't work at all — it needs a real accelerometer.
The QR code won't scan
Camera access needs to be allowed for WakeWave — check iOS Settings → WakeWave → Camera. Make sure you're scanning the exact code generated in Settings → Brutal Mode QR Code, printed or displayed clearly with good lighting.
Can I change how hard the Snooze or Stop challenges are?
Yes — head to the Settings tab to set your default Wake Difficulty and shake count for all new alarms, or open any individual alarm to override it just for that one.
Can alarms repeat on specific days?
Yes — when creating or editing an alarm, tap any combination of days under Repeat. Leave none selected for a one-time alarm.
Does WakeWave collect my data?
No. There's no account, no analytics, and nothing leaves your device. Full details are on the Privacy Policy page.
