Archiv · Privacy

What we keep,
and what we don't

The short version: Archiv doesn't collect your data, because it doesn't have anywhere to send it.

LAST UPDATED — JULY 2026
§ 01 — WHAT ARCHIV COLLECTS

Nothing leaves your device

No account or sign-up. Archiv never asks for your name, email, or any personal information.

No analytics or tracking. Archiv does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services of any kind.

No servers. All your assignments, events, goals, notes, photos, grades, and collected creatures are stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage. There is nothing to upload to, because Archiv doesn't have a server.

§ 02 — PHOTOS

Photos you attach

If you attach a photo to an assignment or event, it's copied into Archiv's local, on-device storage only. It is never uploaded anywhere or shared with any third party.

§ 03 — NOTIFICATIONS

Reminders

Archiv uses Apple's local notification system to remind you about upcoming assignments, events, and goals. These reminders are scheduled entirely on your device and never involve an external server.

§ 04 — HOME SCREEN WIDGET

The streak widget

If you add the Archiv widget to your Home Screen, it reads your streak count from a small piece of storage shared between the app and widget (an Apple "App Group"). This stays entirely on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.

§ 05 — CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Children

Archiv does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information from anyone at all.

§ 06 — CHANGES

If this ever changes

If a future version of Archiv adds a feature that involves data leaving your device, this page will be updated and the date at the top will reflect that.
